Experience certificate issue in govt deparment

(Querist) 14 March 2018 This query is : Resolved
Hi,
I recently got recruited in a government job (defence sector) as an Upper Divisional Clerk. As an essential requirement it had asked for a minimum 2 year experience anywhere as a Lower div. clerk or 3 years in Office management.
Now that a few years back I and my brother had registered a startup (pvt ltd) with both of us as directors and within a year it was shut down due to sustainability and failed revenue model (we didn't even file returns). I used an experience certificate of the same company here for 3 years.
Now, since I am to undergo a background verification which I believe will also consider this company? Now since we (me and my brother) were directors, how are they ever going to find out the details and whether it would affect since there is no valid point to reject the fact that I had an experience of 3 years as a company. Little confused over this. Or should I reject the offer if its going to be problematic? Because I have nothing much to lose here.

Yours is purely hypothetical academic query !

On what basis could you believe that the experts would be misled by your vague unbelievable story. Neither any of the Government Department relies of any private company's experience certificate, nor the post of a Director of a Company was equivalent of the post of an LDC.

Secondly, with what specific reason you believe that there would be no valid point to reject the fact that you had an experience of 3 years in a shut down company within 1 year, where no practical work of the nature of a Government job was handled by you.

Even if 1% truth is there in your story, you will not find any occasion to reject the job, the Government department on its own will reject your candidature.

Sir, sorry if I forgot to mention. There was an exam, a second tier exam and a typing test for the post. Only after these did I qualify. Now let s forget LDC and UDC for a moment. My primary concern is, if I join and there is a background verification (if at all there is one even after qualifying the exam and typing test), will there be any issues for me?
My question arises out of one previous answer of yours Dhingra Sir, wherein you mentioned that govt departments do not have so much of faltu time to check private employers certificates. Will they really go so deep and check?

Don't you feel that there would be a great insult of an incumbent of the post of a Director of a company, if selected on a post of a clerk (UDC) in Government? Being an ex Director of a company, you would better have applied for some post of Secretary, Additional Secretary or a Joint Secretary in the Government of India or State.

Forget or not is not my concern. That is your own concern. However you do not deserve any advice, at least from me, due to your false presentation of the problem. Even otherwise also, presently, you do not have any such problem, if already selected by any mistake of the examining body.

Actually Dhingra Sir, going by the tone of your sentence, you don't seem to 'offer' an advice but to push it down one's throat. Besides, an advice is merely a means to share your experiences, you being more aged and knowledgeable than me. But I'll merely quote the famous Stephen Hawking's quote here and rest my case. Samjhdaar to ishaara kaafi ;)
“The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge.”

Thanks for sparing your time.

Thanks for your advice, Mr. Samajhdaar (Aan). I really don't want to offer my advice to a person, who is dishonest in dealings, even with those from whom he expects help to solve his problem, as you did not give the clear picture of your hypothetical problem at the first instant. It was only when I pointed out towards your hypothetical story.

Right now, you don't have any problem. Even if there is the slightest truth in your story, you may come forward with your real problem from the self created false position about your fake document, as and when that arises in your career. I shall be pleased to share my knowledge at that time, but not now. Till then you may feel free to treat it the illusion of my knowledge. You may also keep yourself illusioned by the warmth of the position of being an ex Director of a company.

But rest assured, you can never compare your cheating habits with the famous Stephen Hawking. Of course, you may feel self contended by quoting the sayings of the Scientist Stephen hawking.

Best of luck.

I felt like giving some views. I saw that you are not at all thankful to Mr Dhingra for sparing his valuable time, his electricity, net connection and trying to understand your question.

It is also a matter of surprise as to where in govt of India a post as low as LDC/UDC require experience and experience in private company is considered relevant.

The querist should have elaborated the exact wing of defence.

You have posted that;
“As an essential requirement it had asked for 3 years in Office management.”
That is why you seem to have applied.
“………….within a year it was shut down……”
The closure of a Startup must be having well laid process/rules and if you applied for closure after 1Y then you may not having any operation/activity pertaining to office management.
In that case you may safely slip over this opportunity..and try for another if you satisfy the criteria…
If you have handled office management for 3Y as in Experience certificate then you must be able to explain, if aver asked by authorities..
