Will with signatures of beneficiaries

(Querist) 07 March 2018 This query is : Resolved
Does a Will become legally invalid if the beneficiaries of the will have also signed in addition to the two witnesses ? The beneficiaries were made to sign the will to make sure that they do not challenge the authenticity of the will in future. The testator does not have any other legal heir, other than the beneficiaries who have signed the will.

If a testator cannot sign due to physical disability / illness can he/she affix thumb impression ? Does this require attestation by a third witness or a notary or registrar ?

Is it necessary to get the above will notorised ?

Is it necessary to get the above will registered ?

Beneficiaries of the Will need not be signed. The signature/thumb impression of the Testator shall be witnessed by two persons. The registration of Will is optional and the last will whether registered or not will come into force.

Your 1st two points in query have already been addressed as in other thread...

3rd; NO.

4th and last; NO

In case WILL is registered then testator affixes thumb impression before registering authority also....
Registered WILL is not easily set aside atleast on counts of authenticity....

Signature of a beneficiary on a WILL makes it invalid.

Dear Thakkar,

Do not beat around the bush and repeat the same query in multiple threads.

FIRST AND FOREMOST, please indicate whether the WILL has already been executed or it is yet to be executed by the Testator?

(This question arises because in your some time you sound as though the WILL stands already executed; and at other times it sounds as though the WILL is yet to be executed)

It is absurd, ridiculous and stupidity to repeat same story time and again.
