Replying to departmental SCN

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 27 January 2018 This query is : Resolved
I got an SCN for negligence while working as forex officer. Some export credit account turned bad and I am being questioned for not exercising due diligence in monitoring the accounts.
The observations are:
1. Not obtained credit reports of buyers
2. Didn't ensure whether the buyers were genuine and/or export did take place.

My Branch Manager had instructed me against obtaining the credit reports verbally. Don't have any proof. How should I reply so to close the inquiry's at SCAN level only.

If no proof of working at the instructions of branch manager, admit your fault and begging pardon for that may subside penalty against you. Otherwise, serious view can be taken about dereliction of your duties and responsibilities.

When you post in new thread respond to the point raised by Mr. Sudhir Kumar ...
You may also clarify if BM would agree that he/she passed verbal order..............and falling to the feet/begging pardon would fetch you any relief as per your own assessment.....in view of loss caused............

ad who shall bear the loss in monetary form...............
and
also attach the rules on due diligence.............

Since Exerts section does not have any provision to attach you may post in Forum section and attach the rules..............

Erase all names/logo/address/phone numbers etc to maintain confidentiality.............

and also that what is the role of BM in due diligence..............e.g; to decline if said check in not performed as per checklist...........
