How to start an it firm in mumbai

Dear Sir,

My friend wants to start an IT firm in Mumbai, please guide me what are the permissions to be obtained from which departments and fees etc.

Whether it is advisable to open a proprietary firm or a partnership firm or a private limited or any other type of firm.

Whether any agent is to be hired to complete the formalities or its available online also.

Constitution of the firm (prop. or partnership) depend on the choice. For partnership get it registered.

What type of service need to be provided by the firm, licenses depend on the same.

You can consult local consultant for local requirements.
