Hi I am Debolina Majumdar(Name Hidden) Hi I am from Asansol (West Bengal) (the Victim) I got married on 9th August 2009 (It was my second Marriage) arranged marriage (I was forced by my family because they cannot feed me) to a man named Debabrata Majumdar in Gurgaon (It was his second marriage too) but did not lasted long . After 3 years of marriage I came back to my father's house. My husband was not good he tortured me a lot mentally physically and biggest problem was he was impotent , he used to pressurise me to earn more than lakhs but I am very simple lady seldom can earn 10000 monthly.Not only this he was making plan to make me prostitute in gurgaon I was completely shattered broken shocked.As it was my second marriage so I try to resist but when he gave the proposal of becoming a stripper It was intolerable and I decided to end and came back to my home town.He was well off in gurgaon working as senior Manager in an IT company and too much money minded .I was bound to come back.Its been 5 years I am separated victimised mentally traumatised ,depressed .We are very simple middle class family my father is very old and I am completely dependable on him financially.I am not in a condition to work anywhere ,I have made myself aloof from the world because It was my second marriage so cannot show myself outside.I feel so low self esteemed, broken.I want divorce from that man and compensation .My question is whether I can get compensation or not in divorce since I have left him 5 years back.Because I am extremely needy now If I dont get any compensation I have to commit suicide.Help Me..... I seek justice & jail for that monster.

Consult A Local Good Advocate or Free Legal Aid Forums or Women's Legal aid forums available in all the Courts.Do not feel bad about anything.If required go for counselling to a Good Doctor.Request your Advocate to file a Suit for Maintenance First.

Thank you Sir, the fact is that I know very well that he can provide me good maintenance he has enough but he is not giving and he is so manipulative & cunning that he is showing that he has nothing very poor condition and falsely he made his property and money in his relative's name so that he can show to the court that he has got nothing to give me as maintenance.In this case how shall I get but I know he can provide he is very well off but over smart.I dont have much proofs of his belongings .How can court help me in this.

agreed with the advise of Mr.NJSR alias Naraismha sir. and one more thing, did you get divorce from the first marriage, as it is also important to file for maintenance.

You have to be strong and bold.
May file cases under DV act etc. against him at your home town.
File case of maintenance.
Court may not order him to pay alimony / lump sum money, bot litigation may force him for settlement.

Approach Free Legal Aid and if possible discuss with a senior and very able counsel specializing in Family matters.

@ kavksatyanarayana Sir yes I hv divorce degree from first marriage it was in 2006 long back the marriage only lasted 3 months .

We r humans and we love peace and stress free secured life but if we r unfortunate then how can we have a protected and safe life who wants disturbed life Sir, its so difficult to know people's nature and to avoid family's pressure when the we r living with the demons.No family support no one to help.when family thinks we daughters r burden & if we dont marry our life is not secured.
I live in a small town & here there r no great lawyers from whom I can expect justice I desire. Its a fact.

Respected Sirs here, accordingly I have filed divorce case with maintenance in our local court here in asansol, but my husband is now making false allegations against me after getting the court summon, he has lodged a complaint in his local police station in Kolkata making false allegations that I am threatening him to kill or murder and the police is scaring me over phone from Kolkata pressurising me to take small amount for maintenance .I stay in asansol and Kolkata is 200 kms from my place .police is even forcing me to visit him in the police station.Now Sir need your advice what shall I do? how cud they do like this without genuine proof how the police can threat me over phone? when I have filed case in the court.

Sir I have filed case for maintenance not 498 because our advocate suggested us that its been 5 years so no use of filing 498 now my query is can my husband go against me and complain to police make me arrest when I have already filed case in the court.
