Can a member under RTI Act demand to get a copy of the Annual Budgets filed with the Public Trust Registration office in Mumbai.
The Trust is registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 and the Mumbai Public Trust Act 1950
Is the Trust under these two Acts covered under the RTI Act 2005 (Central for the former Act & Maharashtra for the latter Act)

He need not to take recourse to RTI Act. Being a member of society he has a right to know and inspect the budget and also to express its openion

If the society chairpersons deny to provide the details then you can certainly go for RTI.

Thank you all for your inputs. Chairperson refuses to show the Budget so will have to use RTI. But should it be to the Society/ Trust or to the Trust office at Worli?
