Name change

Sir I changed my name through gazette and I got email copy of name change gazette document, my name is included with few more other people . Further concerned lawyer told that I will get hard copy of this gazette document in a month and I want to know whether I'm going to get gazette hard copy separately on my name alone or else just in group. Moreover I want to know whether I need to change my name in all my educational certificates. Please kindly suggest

Lawyer told there is no need of getting all certificates changed

You will get the hard copy with all other names only. If you do not intend to change your name in all your certificates, when ever you apply for any thing, along with your testimonials and application, you need to submit the attested copy of the said gazette notification.

There is no procedure for getting the corrections/modifications in the Original Certificates. If you change the name with the help of Gazette Notification, each time when you produce any certificate carrying original name, you have to show the Gazette Notification also. So that one will read both together.

You will get the hard copy in line with the e-mail copy received by you.

It is very difficult to change name in all educational documents.

The procedure for getting change in all the certificates is that you need to make an application along with sending the original certificates and the gazette notification by praying the requisite fee and then they will official make a addition of your name on the certificate. But it is desirable to make good followup else your original certificates will be at risk, if not properly received either by them or by you. You need to apply to each authority, who issued those certificates to you. The requisite fee has to be known from that board/authority.
