Premature of bond

Sir,
I have accepted bond in company's letter head not stamp paper for 2 years but now I decided to resign then employer told pls pay as per bond 50% of CTC. My query is if any valid for legal this bond, company will hold Gratuity or not.

Get the Bond examined through some local lawyer expert in service matters.

The BOND was created in lieu of what extra ordinary favor/expense/training by company to you?

Do you have copy of the said Bond?

Did you agree in it to forfeit the Gratuity?

The forfeiture of Gratuity is altogether different and except for the permissible reasons as in the Act, Gratuity can not be forfeited.

You should certainly show all docs on record to an able Labor Law Consultant/service Matters lawyer/Law Firm to examine and advice further.
