Case against accident

Dear Sir,
I wish to clarify a doubt regarding the compensation against accident.
i.e. My Friend had met with an accident on Aug.2014 with MTC Bus(Govt Bus). Actually he hit the bus(on Back Side of the Bus) as the bus driver was suddenly stop the bus while running. Due to this incident my friend lost his Health condition(Lost some tooth, injured in face) & lost around 1 lakh rupees in the hospital.But he have the bill only around Rs.10000/-.Now he can claim compensation against the accident through file case against MTC? IF yes how much he can claim?(whether to the extent of bill produced or actual expenditure)

It has to be confirmed that he(your friend) should have given police complaint or not. If so whether they have registered or not.
(2) with regard to compensation amount: Even though the bill is for Rs.10,000/- you could claim upto Rs.1,00,000/- but you need to establish such claims before the court. After satisfaction of the court only, grant compensation.

You have not informed whether any FIR was registered?
The details of the claim has to be justified, consult local lawyer.

Sir,
Actually the victim has not raised any complaint as he has suffered due to accident & he discharged from the hospital after 1 month only.Now whether he can make a compliant? & get the FIR from Police Department?.Further some of the spare parts have been stolen by somebody when the vehicle kept under police custody from the date of accident to till date?.
Now Is it possible to claim the stolen products cost also?
Further is it necessary to check the Brake Condition before the Brake Inspector to claim/ to file the case to get the compensation even it is a New Vehicle?
Pl clarify.

If the vehicle was lying in the police station, whether FIR was not registered till date?, then why the vehicle was lying in the police station without any reason. The police may register a FIR even now but you have to give satisfactory reason for delay to complain the accident. The stolen parts cannot be claimed from police better drop such ideas if you still have faith and hopes.
