Reply to legal notices

(Querist) 15 September 2014 This query is : Resolved
I have replied to a Legal Notice admitting the liability thinking that the matter can be resolved amicably, but now can not be resolved and claimant sent second notice. Can we reply through advocate and deny the allegation. I am legally qualified and experienced person. I did not want to reply earlier, but replied as formal compliance.

1. You can serve a reply to his second notice through an advocate and deny the allegations. You need to give more of the background of the case.

I am satisfied with the reply. To give a background, it is a matter of about Rs. 10 L retention money which we have to pay. There is a dispute of about Rs.20000 as per ledger. By settling, we can pay in instalments and need not pay interest and also can save litigation cost. since matter is not getting settled the party may go for litigation. Thanks

You should not have admitted the facts in your rely, However now rely through an advocate.
