Third party rights in property

Guest (Querist) 13 September 2014 This query is : Resolved
Can someone help me to understand third party rights. I have a situation where the seller of property states that he has not sold the property to the purchaser. Now the purchaser has already sold it to a third party. Who has right to the property - the seller or the third party. I am trying to find the relevant legal provisions. This is related to stolen property

Sir,

In the case of stolen property only the original owner has the right to property, either the purchaser or the third party do not have any rights.

Good Luck,
Kishor Mehta
