Gender bias regarding divorce petition

(Querist) 19 July 2013 This query is : Resolved
In general one conception is that if any male is asking for a divorce, he has to pay more in terms of alimony etc and he might not get divorce also if the female is not ready to give that.
whereas if the female asks for divorce
she gets it faster though in case of alimony she get lesser as she has to prove her points. My wife is staying seperately for last 4 months with her mother. My daughter is with my wife. All kind of mediation failed.I understand she is at the point of no return. I send money for my daughter and wife. she has not filed any case till now.She told to the mediator that she will not file divorce petition against me. Does that mean that if i ask for divorce she will harrass me or negotiate at a higher cost or she will not give divorce to me.
please explain.

If you have strong merit in your case, then is no reason why divorce would not be granted.

If both of you wants divorce then talk with eachother and go for MCD.

You should have legal grounds for divorce, if you have then file for divorce yourself.
