Fir statement changed

(Querist) 04 March 2013 This query is : Resolved
Dear Experts,

My wife lodged an FIR in Pune for theft of her Jwellery during her travel alongwith her father from Delhi to Pune in June, 2012.

Later she went to her home in UP and filed a false complaint against me and my family under 498a in Dec, 2012. That case is under mediation at present.

She now has changed her statement saying that her husband (me) made her to sign the FIR in hurry and her in laws have stolen all the Jwels. Which is all untrue.

Now Police is doing enquiry at my home in UP and asking for money.

Please suggest what I should do as she is doing everything to haress and torture me and my family for the sake of money.

Dear Rahul
No need to worry, you can contact IO of the case and co-operate with investigation, if you are right no need to worry and fight the case with positive thinking. if there is some time gap between FIR and her complaint, it may be your defense.

You should move an application under section 182 against your wife who has changed her statement altogether and is falsely accusing your family members whereas she voluntarily had made complaint to the police that during traveling her ornaments had been stolen by someone so what the connection of your family members with the stealing?

Make representation fot he higher police officials and demand justice failing which go to high court.

Thanks dear experts for your replies.

Poiceman in UP met my brother and showed him the new statement. It did not have any date.
First FIR was lodged in June, 2012 and now in March, 2013 ploice has come up with new statement. Was it conspired?

To move an application under Section 182 do I need to have the copy of new statement which police is refusing to give?

You can obtain the subsequent statement under invoking RTI Act and after obtaining certified copies of both statements, do file criminal case against your wife. Not only 182 but some other sections can also be clamped against her in the given facts.
