Filing a police complaint from other city

(Querist) 05 February 2013 This query is : Resolved
Respected Lawyers,

My Father in law in settled in Hyderabad and is unbale to walk and move his hands as he is terminally ill. some of his relatives have forcibly occupied his house in Banaglore and he wants to file a police complaint regarding the same in Bangalore.
But as he is not able to walk and talk properly and also as he is in Hyderabad, what would be the most effective way of filing a police complaint in Bangalore.
Is there anything that he can do it from Hyderabad itself.

Thanks
John

Yes he can send his complaint by post/email/phone to the police authorities in bangalore. For registration of FIR the informant has to sign, hence he'd have to go for that. If the offence is a cognizable one (trespass/house breaking is one I believe) anyone can be an informant, anyone who can go and get FIR registered.

In addition to the advice of Bharat, I further suggest to appoint a GPA who may initiate the entire action required at Banglore. Civil suit is also necessary to be filed in the given facts.
