Correction of mother's in birth certificate

My legal name is RAMALAKSHMI and pet name is vijaya. in my daughter's birth certificate by mistake it was entered as vijaya. i have applied for correction of my name in -Madurai corporation- birth and death registrar where my daughter's is registered. i have submitted my passport copy having my legal name and husband name, marriage certificate mentioned that vijaya (a) ramalakshmi, my degree certificate, more than than i have submitted my younger son birth certificate with my legal name and his passport copy. even after submitting all these documents they are not accepting to change. my daughter is only 13 years old. ihave to apply passport for her. pls advise me what to do?

Madam
I believe that u have chosen wrong forum.
In birth and death registration act the powers for making correction is vested with the Chief registrar or Commissioner of Municipality.
So submit all the documents to the registrar who will hold enquiry and then make necessary changes in birth register

Thanks a lot for all of your advice. In my marriage certificate also my name is mentioned as Vijaya (a) ramalakshmi. i have submitted my degree copy, myself,husband's & son passport copy, ration card, by son's birth certificate. i dont understand, then whatelse they want from us to prove. passport office also accept only birth certificate for minors.

till now i did'nt get my problem solved. i have submitted all the papers to the commissionor of madurai corporation and they are not accepting to change.i am very fedup, as a middleclass i could'nt afford and struggle with these things, i have to giveup and wait till my daughter get major as a helpless mother.
