if you are not interested in practsising law why did you enrol your self for 5 years course?

concentrate on your law . finsih your course as you have already completed 2 years and you are in your 3rd year .

you wont be able to ride 2 boats at one time . after completing your law you can appear for civil service exams .

you need not enrol for BA in public administartion . find out prescribed books and study on your own to increase your knowledeg if you so desire .

At present no university in the country as per the UGC norms can allow a student to study for two degrees simultaneously. Though the existing rules permit students to take up a degree course and a diploma course together

GU seeks to start India's first dual degree system
May 22, 2011, 04.06am IST
AHMEDABAD: The Gujarat University has, in a proposal to the University Grants Commission (UGC), demanded that it should be allowed to confer two degrees simultaneously to its students.

Inspired by the tenth plan of UGC that propagates parallel education system, the Gujarat University (GU) vice-chancellor (V-C) has sought permission to give dual degrees.

The varsity officials said that the V-C is prompted to seek the permission as the tenth plan of the UGC has clearly stated that it was open to propagate the parallel education concept to obtain a degree and diploma or a dual degree and would even promote a college or university to confer joint degrees.

At present no university in the country as per the UGC norms can allow a student to study for two degrees simultaneously. Though the existing rules permit students to take up a degree course and a diploma course together.

However, the varsity V-C Parimal Trivedi has, in his letter to the UGC, said that following the footsteps of foreign universities, the commission should permit them to give two degrees in the same year to a student.

If this happens, GU officials say, a student who is pursuing his masters course in arts, commerce or science can even study for the bachelor of law (LLB) degree simultaneously. LLB in GU is a post-graduate degree.

As per the existing rules, students can either study masters course or LLB course. But the V-C now wants the students to study these two degrees courses simultaneously. Trivedi said that if a student has the capacity and eligibility, he or she can study for one course in the morning, while attending classes for the other one in the evening or afternoon.

Trivedi said that he also wants the students taking up their masters degree to pursue various diploma courses offered by the B K School of Management. If the proposal is approved, the Gujarat University will be the first university in the country to offer dual degrees, he said, adding that the eligibility criteria and the subjects taken in the previous courses will be considered before permitting the students for dual degrees.
