Dda rohini scheme 1981 plot

(Querist) 15 July 2012 This query is : Resolved
Hi,

Recently DDA Rohini scheme draw was held and there is a plot in my name as well as my father's name. My father has passed away. Is there some way that I surrender my plot and take my father's plot? The plot in my name is LIG ( 32 Gaj) and the one in my father's name is MIG ( 60 Gaj). So is there some way I could surrender my plot and apply for my father's plot in my name ? Please advice.

Apply separately for refund first in your own case and then ask for transfer of plot of your father in your name by filing necessary papers for transfer.

agree with Dhingraji . you cna surrender your plot . then inform DDA of your father death and complete formalities of having plot transferred in your name . however if you are not the only legal heirs then dont surrender the plot .

Thank you Dhingra ji and Ajay ji for your kind replies. I would like to make a correction here. I have two brothers, but their wives have DDA flats in their name. I am the only son who doesnt have any property in my name. So will it be ok to go ahead and surrender my plot and then apply for mutation? My brothers dont have any objection to this. Please confirm if this will be safe because I will be risking the plot which I have in my name.

Also, I would appreciate if you could share how long does the mutation process take ?
