There is a delay in disposing the cases at SIC. You can approach the office with the date of presenting the appeal.

how can an association raise an rti query?

rti queries should be raise by individual name only.
Advocate. Arunagiri (Expert) 26 December 2011
I am enclosing the decision of CIC which allowed RTI appln by association.
Advocate. Arunagiri (Expert) 26 December 2011
An “individual” under the General Clauses Act includes an “association of individuals,” who could ask for information under the Act.

I go with Shri Arunagiri.

If an association is registered and has right to suit and be sued in law then it can lodge RTI also.

I agree with Ld. Arunagiri.

A Company or a Corporation is a legal person and as such they have a legal entity`. It is an established fact that all superior Courts have been admitting applications in exercise of their extraordinary jurisdiction from Companies, Societies and Associations under Article 19 OF constitution. the same can be applied in case of RTI too .however, make sure that the application/appeal is submitted by the authorized signatory of the Association.
