Gawa to jj act

We have guardianship of a child for past 2 years under GAWA. The child was given to us directly from the parents. Is there any cases where a person has then adopted the child under JJ Act to get full adoption?

Thank you for your responses, sorry for not being clear. My wife and I wanted to adopt a girl since we had three boys. I am Christian. We heard about a couple wanting to give their child for adoption. We approached the local district court and were given guardianship under GAWA in 2009. I have read recently that it is now possible to get full adoption under the JJ Act even as a Christian. So we are interested in pursuing this.

You can persue this matter but the acceptance of parents of girl child is must for this purpose. You approach them by obtaining their address from District Court who gave custody of that child to you.
