Can a second wife claim interim maintenance from husband under Hindu Adoptions And Maintenance Act 1956.

Yes if she is married not during the existence of the first marriage.

Hi,

immaterial of whether the 2nd marriage took while the first is in subsistence or not the 2nd Wife can claim maintenance... if the 2nd marriage is void (i,e with the 2nd wife's) she will not have any share in the property but can claim maintenance.
