Amendment of Gift Deed

Is it possible to amend the Gift deed once it has been registered ... does the Donor has any rights to amend the same.....please advise

It depends upon the legality of the amendment you want to make.

No once the gift is registered it cannot be amended.

When there are genuine mistakes or erros in the gift deed,it is always open to the donor to amend. It is not barred under law. If any reservation or condition is there in the gift deed and if the non perfomance of such a condition is there,then the donor has the right to amend . That is why I opined that it depends upon the legality of the amendment sought to be made. The amendment is not totally barred. Only revocation is barred.

can be amended to some extent. The amendment may be only to correct the clerical mistakes.

No one can include a donee name or a property in the gift deed as amendment

Yes. To correct mistakes like mistake in the description in the property etc.

Can an additional name be added in the gift deed as donee, as the donor has now no rights on the property as it is already gifted to one Donee.

Yes, Doner can be rectified unless rectification rights should be mentioned in the Gift Deed otherwise, he has to file suit for amendment in the jurisdictional court to get the permission otherwise its not possible.
