I have purchase a flat in Mumbai with my marital name. Now i have divorced. I want to change the name to my maiden's name. Pls confirm if this can be done and if yes, then what is the procedure.

U really need to do nothing. Give a declaration before a Notary that henceforth, U intend to use your maiden name instead of your marital name. Publish the declaration in a local newspaper . Keep a copy of the newspaper to produce it as & when required. U may approach the Municipal authorities with the declaration & a copy of the newspaper & apply for a change of name.
