Succession Certificate

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 22 December 2009 This query is : Resolved
Is there a stamp duty implication for obtaining succession certificate for an immoveable property in Hyderabad? What are the typical costs that one needs to incur for the same? Is this mandatory to obtain even if one has a legal heir certificate and all other necessary documents.
adv. rajeev ( rajoo ) (Expert) 23 December 2009
succession certificate will be issued to get the monetary or service benefits of the deceased.
To enter the name of the legal heirs of immovable property of the deceased just give a vardi to the CTS authorities along with the xerox copy of the legal heir certificate issued by the TAhasildar (survivors certificate). If there is dispute between the legal heirs of the deceased then straightway go for partition suit everthing will be decided in one suit.

Thanks a lot. Just a little more clarification. There is no dispute among legal heirs. Rather all would like to renounce to a single person at this stage. Is this step right? How much costs will one incur on the same?

I do agree with rajeev.
