Muslim women maintenance

whether ruling of maintenance upto the time till she marry is in conflict with muslim women act of 1985.this act do not allow maintenance till she marry.

IN Shabana Bano Vs. Imran Khan AIR 2010 SC 305 ,THE APEX COURT RULED THAT :...
" even if a Muslim woman has been divorced, she would be entitled to claim
maintenance from her husband under Section 125 of the Cr.P.C. after the expiry of period of iddat also, as long as she does not remarry"

The courts have just extended the benefit of maintenance till she remarries and thus has created it in the interest of women folk.
