Here belongings mean like his car, laptop and many other accessories. Most of those he has purchased before his marriage. Currently most of his belongings are with his wife and she doesn't want to share anything with his parents. What may we do legally? Even she is not living with us now. And working in an MNC, Noida.
Prakash Yedhula (Expert) 05 May 2010
The mother has an equal share and she can file a petition for succession certificate seeking her share in the movables.

If you are a Hindu, then
Wife and mother are Class I heirs. Father is class II heir.
so wife and mother can divide property equally
