Consumer

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 15 April 2010 This query is : Resolved

Goods from my consignment were stole from my DTDC courier and when I contacted the DTDC courier services through email they just forwarded the email to other officer.
Kindly advice me the best remedy which I can take.
I can sue them under which law and for what i.e compensation, recovery or what.
This has resulted in tremendous loss to me because those pieces were meant for a exporter who was in Idnia at that time but now I missed a potential buyer.
Plz advice at the earnest.
Legal notice needed to be served if yes seeking what.?????????????/

The act of DTDC clearly amounts to deficiency of service. You can file a consumer complaint before the consumer forum of your district seeking compensation of money for loss and mental agony due to the careless act of the DTDC courier services.

But first issue a legal notice.

However you must prove or submit evidence to the fact that the goods so despatched have been listed and acknowledged by DTDC.

I concur with Krishana.

In addition to the Consumer Complaint, you may also file a police complaint against the Courier company, since the culprit should not misuse them. The police complaint will be useful to you in future, when the lost goods are found anywhere.
