Dear Expert,
Can an employee encash 8 days of leave per year as authorised and also encash balance of leave at tome of seperation upto 60 days which is maximum limit for accumulation?

In other words will the leave encahsed while in service be in addition to the limit of 60 days presecribed under the Act for accumulation & encashment at time of discharge.

Regards
Moorthy

Yes.An employee can take leave, while in service, more then 60 days.
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 28 December 2009
No. leave encashed during service shall form the part of 60 days leave to be encahsed at the time of superannuation.

This is the reason employees do not encash such leave during their service period and use this at the fag end of career so that its current valuation may be made.
