Dear Mr.Himansu

I take it as a question and you would like to know whether a fcatory can work on public holidays. Yes with the permission from the inspector of factories it can be done. In cases of certain process industries where the process has to be carried on continuously general permission is given by the department. Only requirement is that the person who worlk on public holidays shall be entitled to three times the normal wages. In some states it is two times the wages. Refer to the Factory Rules of the concerned State.
