Bail at police station or court

(Querist) 29 September 2015 This query is : Resolved
I was visiting my ancestral village in tamil nadu along with my father. Land in my mothers name was being ploughed by a tractor. We objected to it. Our relatives attacked both of us. I registered a complaint with police station. Also my left hand ring finger was injured and was confirmed as fracture at government hospital. FIR was lodged based on my complaint under IPC sections 341, 324 and 506/1. Relatives were remanded and got bail thereafter. However on the next day of said FIR, my relatives have filed counter complaint & FIR under IPC sections 294/6, 341 & 323 against both of us. Can the same incident legally have two FIRs? We have to take bail at Police station or Court? Request help.

Yes is the reply. Consult local lawyer and defend the case against you.

Yes. Possible. File bail petition in the court by engaging an advocate.

For the offenses mentioned you need appear before court for bail. Police station will do this. Fir can be filed by both parties.

There is generally no outcome of such cases as these are mutual rivalry cases and court cant easily adjudicate. These normally end with compromise and withdrawal of cases or closure by courts.
