Wrong reference for govt job by referees

I was once charged under IPC 279 and IPC 176 and took me five years to be acquitted from all charges..
now I have been selected in govt bank job will this create any problem in my selection ?
the employer asked me to give reference of two referees in which they asking
"to the best of your knowledge whether candidate ever been convicted/prosecuted/arrested "
..where my referees don't know about my case they have marked 'NO' in that field..will this create any problem for me or my referees ?

I am concerned for them as they both are govt employees..will this create any problem to my referees and as well me..please give me appropriate suggestion Sir.

By the way, what you have written for the information about your having been convicted/ prosecuted/ arrested?

Also, what is the question about reference of two referees in the form to be submitted to the bank authorities?

Sir they did not ask about prosecution in attestation which they asked me ot fill...

But in reference report they have asked my referees this question
"to the best of your knowledge whether candidate ever been convicted/prosecuted/arrested " ..where my referees don't know about my case they have marked 'NO' in that field

I am just concerned for my referees I dont want any trouble for them.

Sudhir Sir..its (public service commision ) not my question first of all..
and Secondly they did not have to fill any attestation form (my referees)...they just have to give reference...and they already mentioned in that form that they know me from past three years..and I faced trial 5 years ago..
and lastly m acquitted...and it was not my fault at all...so why should I suffer for such stupid thing...I did not fool anybody Even if it cause any trouble for them ill just take all the blame on me...
I was just looking for suggestions regarding the issue..not the consequences about it.

well lets see what will happen...as all are saying it won't create any problem as I am acquitted now..and as my referees are not aware of case as it was 5 years old case and they know me from past three years only and thanks for all the suggestions.

Thanks to all the lawyers..as they did not consider it a problem..only one negative reply but in the end it all went good..
And yes it will also help the fellow readers seeking for the same solution.
