For a moment forget about your resignation.
What is the reaction of your employer on the sexual harassment complaint?
babita dogra (Querist) 22 September 2014
I raised this issue to my manager and HR and informed them its negatively affecting my performance at work place. They refused to take any action as I dnt have any proof or eye witness in relation to the acquisition made by me.

Should I send a follow up email for my resignation acceptance??
Advocate. Arunagiri (Expert) 22 September 2014
You can send your resignation letter by RPAD. You have to state for reason of sexual harassment, you are resigning with immediate effect. Also send these copies by email to the MD and HR Manager of the company.

I understand that the employer had not conducted any enquiry on your complaint. Under the circumstances you need not serve notice period.

how can they expect me to serve notice period in such a hostile environment??
Kumar Doab (Expert) 22 September 2014
The employer has to conduct an inquiry………………………..if you are not satisfied and have evidence you can approach women commission and Committee formed to address such issues in your city.

The employer has to reply to the resignation submitted by you and let him state that you shall have to serve the notice period…………………

If NO reply is supplied to you in writing then submit a reminder addressed to appointing authority, MD under proper acknowledgment and ask for written directions by Redg. post.

It is too early to receive a reply. Wait for 10 days viz., up to the end of the month.

Certainly you need not serve notice period in these circumstances.

No doubt notice period is not required for resignation under such circumstances, but wait for the reply from the company's management to your resignation and then decide about further action.
