WHETHER A REGISTERED CHARITABLE TRUST CAN BY AGRICULTURE LAND SITUATED AGICULTRE ZONE IN GUJARAT FOR CHARITABLE ACTIVITES AND FOR RELIGIOUS TEMPLE

Generally Agriculture land should be used only for agriculture and related purposes only.

Even the farmer the owner of the land would be permitted to have his own house for residing in agriculture land with restrictions only

In Vellangiri Hills near Coimbatore the Isha Foundation had constructed huge constructions with out Legal Approvals and even constructed a huge Shiva Statue in forest areas with out legal approval and it was inaugurated by leading govt authorities which made the concerned departments just to watch

If the Purchase of Agriculture Land is exclusively only for the Agriculture Purpose by the Concerned Trust there could be no Legal Objections in Registrations

Trust can purchase the agricultural land no doubts about that but use it for purpose other than agricultural purposes is difficult to reply here. You need to check laws and bylaws in this regard for conversation of agricultural land for other purpose even if it is for charitable use.

Dear queriest, it is a Registered Charitable Trust. Hence the board of Trustees following the procedure as narrated in the Trust Deed can purchase the Agricultural land in the name of Trust only and for the use of Trust only. After purchase of land you have to submit application to RDO/SDO/concerned authorities to convert the land into site. After obtaining permission from the authorities, then get approval from the Panchayat/Municipality/concerned for construction of Temple.
