Professional tax by establishment

(Querist) 13 February 2016 This query is : Resolved 
Dear Sir,

Please I need some assistance on profession tax as follows:

If one organisation is having number of branches in a single state and having one VAT/CST/PT registartion centrally. Whether that organisation will pay the profession tax of Rs.2500/- in total or @ Rs.2500/- per branch.

Please clarify.

Professional tax will be paid as per the number of employees . as for as remployer concern if all branches in a single state then one payment is enough

Professional tax is state enactment, consult local tax consultant.
