Not joining after acceptance of offer letter

(Querist) 10 December 2016 This query is : Resolved
Dear all,
Kindly help me out
I am presently working in kotak mahindra bank and serving my notice period as I am worried that my present organisation may give a negative feed back. I am resigning from kotak due to distance and traveling issues
I joined kotak in feb 2016 and resigned in July2016 just 2 days before my confirmation I had an offer from hdfc back
The offer was accepted only on mail but I did not sign the offer letter ....
As my friends working at hdfc told it's too pressurising job hence I changed my mind
I took my resignation back at kotak and didn't inform the hdfc hr now I have recieved a very good offer from yes bank and after 3 months I.e on 10 November 2016 I again resigned in kotak . I have recieved the offer letter and serving my notice period. I am worried if the hr or my bosses in kotak give a negative feedback after joining yes bank by mentioning I had an offer from hdfc bank and didn't join over der den will this affect my employment at yes bank

You should complete the notice period, get relieving letter, F & F and join the new Bank.

Try to maintain cordial relation with mutual respect with present employer.

Work pressure is almost similar in all such private Banks.

For recruiters also there are KRA's,TAT, targets ,deadlines.................

What is the need to scratch on irrelevant issues.

You have an offer from M/s Yes Bank and you are joining them.

You could have declined to join to M/s HDFC, in writing, for sake of both : courtesy and record.

My bosses have negative approach towards me and have considered me under bad books hence m worried abt it

Whether Yes Bank asked any feedback from the present employers? They will look into the clear relieving letter only. You are entertaining unnecessary doubts.

Your joining or leaving M/s HDFC Bank is none of business of your bosses.................and it is not a misconduct.

If they are inclined to hit on our employ-ability, then you can ask them first gently to refrain from it............

Better get an evidence of acts of your bosses.

Mr. Yuvraj,

Your story seems to be having some hypothesis in it. You have nowhere stated that your bank (Kotak) had been given any information that you had an offer from HDFC Bank or Yes Bank. So, where justifies your statement, "I am worried if the hr or my bosses in kotak give a negative feedback after joining yes bank by mentioning I had an offer from hdfc bank and didn't join over der"?

However, when you have the habit of playing tricks with your employer, how you can expect positive feedback from your employer, may be by some any other reason, even if not about your not joining the HDFC Bank?.

You have posted that;

"My bosses have negative approach towards me and have considered me under bad books hence m worried abt it"

What is this consideration?

What are these bad books?

What is this negative approach?

What is your designation and nature of duties?

In such a case, I think your bosses will rather be happy to get rid of an unwilling worker.

A question arises, why could not you get confirmed about the working conditions of HDFC bank before applying for job in that bank, why only now, when you had already "resigned in July2016"?

By the way, why do you think that the working conditions of Yes Bank will be good, as compare to HDFC Bank, when working conditions in all private banks are alike?

reply;

In your views what can be done?

You have resigned, serving notice period, join new organisation, deal any adverse report if received as per the contents.
Kumar Doab (Expert) 11 December 2016
Have you been issued with stinkers,memo,SCN etc, so far?

Applying in another company, while working with one company, declining to join another company that made an offer of employment to employee.......................is not misconduct.

Apparently you had withdrawn notice of resignation from M/s Kotak and it is not palatable to bosses and they are unable to control their itch ( Khujlee) and want to abuse their power by dirty mouthing.

M/s Yesbank may like to take the selected candidate (you) on board.

You need to focus on developing rapport with M/s Yesbank so that bad mouthing does not affect them.

IN any case get a copy of any adverse/negative feedback and come back in this thread and we will tell about some long lasting medication ( say Zalim Lotion) for their itch ( Khujlee).

You have nothing to worry. If the new opening is suitable,get mentally prepd. to join the same after complying with the clauses in the letter of appointment issued by present employers or bank;s standing rules.
Other things as suggested by Experts above.
Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 11 December 2016
May proceed as advised by the expert Kumar Doab.
Guest (Expert) 11 December 2016
It is clear, presently you don't have any problem that needs any advice.
Kumar Doab (Expert) 11 December 2016
While in employment: Download::

--- everything that establishes performance, satisfaction of KRA's, NO misconduct, appraisals, etc etc, before confirmation and after confirmation till LWD, having completed all tasks on record, NOC/NDC etc etc, attendance record etc etc .

--- evidence of bad mouthing.

If bad mouthing is verbal, record (audio/visual/witnssed/minuted).......

If it is in writing obtain a copy.
