Non occupancy charges for leased flats in mumbai

(Querist) 18 October 2015 This query is : Resolved
There is a circular dates 1st Aug. 2001 from Maharashtra Govt. that non occupancy charges for the flats given on rent would be 10% of the service charges. In addition my society is taking extra car parking charges from me as I have given my flat on rent. In addition, now they are asking for an interest free deposit of Rs. 20,000/I got an order from the deputy registrar sent to the society to revert this demand within 15 days, but it is almost a year and they have been still insisting on payment and the deputy registrar does not seem to take any action, even when reminded. What should be my line of action now?

1. File Grievance Petition before the local Consumer Court, for permanent relief.

If concerned for extra car parking charges?

- Depends on society bye laws - resolution passed.

If concerned for extra deposit of Rs. 20,000/-

- Prey for permanent injunction from court as the society not adhering to the instructions of Registrar.

For non occupancy charges visit link referred by the expert Hemant Agarwal.
