Can anyone tell he how much a CA will charge for creating a PAN card, TIN no. , Editing and register a deed ,fees for processing MVAT, applying for Professional Tax, etc..
Pls help me because CA is overcharging me with his structure which he promised me before i allocated him work. (Pls tell me approx figure if your not sure abt actual fees..)
Before allocation fees : 5K
Demanding : 22k
Any help would be greatful..

Must fix it in the begining.
It is negotiable. no fixed rates for ca, advocate, surgeon Dr., actors, etc.

ICAI recommends its members(CA) to charge minimum fee for various services. you can check fee by after downloading attached file.

Agreed with Xperts but Mr Subramanian appears to be harsh when he writes as per the capacity of the client. We professional charge and should charge according to the assignment and those clients who cann't afford the services of a professional should look otherwise. Though our fees are negotiable but that does not mean that it should vary from client to client for similiar assignment only because a particular client has more capacit to pay.
Dear Shailesh the fee prescribed by ICAI too is on very high side, just see Rs. 1500.00 for applying PAN/TAN. Should not we advocate envy CAs.

CP CHUGH ....sir for PAN/TAN he has charged me more than 2000 rs..:(
can i appeal anywhere against this injustice ?

Dear Amar,
You have been provided a very good information by the experts, expecially by Shri Shailesh Kumar.
However, for your kind information, the fee prescribed for the CAs in the chart provided by Shri Shailesh Kumar represents only the MINIMUM chargeable fee, NOT maximum. You would have yourself verified that for PAN/TAN, the fee in the chart is prescribes, as Rs. 1,500/- & ABOVE. So, whatever has been agreed upon by you and charged by the CA cannot be challenged under any byelaw of the ICAI.

The fees were not being agreed by me ..
I was not even aware of fees before CA presented me his bill.
Is this called professionalism by CA's ?
Atleast i should have been aware of this fee structure ...then it would have been fair enough?(P.S I was told before 5k includes everything)

Dear Amar,
You have previously made a mention of "more than 2000 rs" as fee, but now you have stated about 5K (5000). Also you have stated "5k includes everything." What are those services that form part of "everything" else? It seems you have not stated the facts correctly and in full.
Also, if you did not agree on fee, there was no compulsion for you to hire his services. You could have hired services of some other CA for the job.
However, if you have some other facts and not satisfied with the services or inappropriate fee, you can serve the CA with an advocate's notice to him or proceed against him in the consumer forum.

One, if find the fees higher, can engage a cheap professional, choice is his ??
There is no compulsion.
It also help public, as not to pay fixed charges, but bargain to make PAN card from 1500/- to 95/-

Please keep in mind, in future dealings with professionals as a business person after indicating your exact requirement and deciding on the same in consultation with the professional, you have to finalise the fees structure with break up if any, estimated time for completing the assignment( s),mode & timing of payment, your own inputs required for smooth achievement of the objects has to be noted down in black and white for your record and future reference.Furthur, before mutually agreeing on the above you can always check up the details from the internet, fellow businessmen, experienced employees, bankers,chamber of commerce or similar associations.
