Section : Title, extent and commencement

1. Title, extent and commencement.-This Act may be called theGuardians and Wards Act, 1890. (2) It extends to the whole of India 2*[except the State of Jammuand Kashmir], 3* * * * *; (3) It shall come into force on the first day of July, 1890.
