Section : POWER TO CONSTRUE LAWS

SECTION 55: POWER TO CONSTRUE LAWS

Notwithstanding that no provision or in- sufficient provision has been made section 54-of the adaptation of a law made before the appointed day, any court, tribunal or authority required or empowered to enforce such law may, for the purpose of facilitating its application in relation to the State of Andhra, Madras or Mysore, construe the law with such alterations not affecting the substance as may be necessary or proper to adapt it to the matter before the Court, tribunal or authority, as the case may be. This section "confers power on every Court, Tribunal or other authority required or empowered to enforce any law to construe such law with necessary adaptations." -S.O.R.
