Section : Short title, extent and commencement.

THE NOTARIES ACT, 1952 ACT NO. 53 OF 1952 1* [9th August, 1952.] An Act to regulate the profession of notaries. [9th August, 1952.] BE it enacted by Parliament as follows:- 1. Short title, extent and commencement. (1) This Act may be called the Notaries Act, 1952. (2) It extends to the whole of India 2***. (3) It shall come into force on such date3* as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
