Section : Inspector-General of Registration.

3. Inspector-General of Registration. (1) The State Governmentshall appoint an officer to be the Inspector-General of Registrationfor the territories subject to such Government: Provided that the State Government may, instead of making suchappointment, direct that all or any of the powers and duties herein-after conferred and imposed upon the Inspector-General shall beexercised and performed by such officer or officers, and within suchlocal limits, as the State Government appoints in this behalf.9 (2) Any Inspector-General may hold simultaneously any otheroffice under the Government.
