 The bail petition filed by former chairman of Satyam Computer B Ramalinga Raju, who is recuperating in Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in Hyderabad, would come up for hearing in a local court on 8th October.

Raju, accused in the Rs 7,800-crore fraud case at Satyam, is currently undergoing treatment for his heart and Hepatitis-C ailments in NIMS hospital.

He has filed a petition in the IV Additional Metropolitan Sessions court, seeking his release on health ground.

As both sides - prosecution and defence sought time, thesessions judge today adjourned case to 8th October.

Bharat Kumar, counsel for Ramalinga Raju, urged the court to grant bail to his client on health ground and also to enable him to defend himself in various cases slapped against him by various investigating agencies, including SEBI, SFIO,Enforcement Directorate.

Ramalinga Raju was brought from Chanchalguda jail andadmitted with chest pain in the hospital on 7th September.
