Karnataka HC To Have Green Bench Dated : 22-2-2009 Source : UNI Banglore ; Text: Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court Justice P Dinakaran has constituted a separate Bench to deal with the cases relating to environment and forest issues, including mining. The newly constituted Green Bench, to be headed by Justice Dinakaran himself, would deal with all the cases pertaining to environment, ecology and forest relating petitions, including mining both in private and government lands, official sources said. The Bench would have state-wide jurisdiction. The High Court Registrar had issued directions to both Gulbarga and Dharwad Benches to transfer all cases relating to environment and forests to the new Bench.
