Key Responsibilities

• To be responsible for all matters pertaining to legal/statutory compliances of the Power IC required under the law of the land including overseeing the legal functions of all SBUs.
• To keep track of the major trends emerging in the field of governmental policy/legislative business and suggest concomitant proactive measures to deal with them.
o Finalization of Power Purchase Agreement
o Filing of litigation in HC and SC for various matters
o Matters before the Electricity Regulatory Commission
o Matters before the CERC

• Prepare the Legal Strategy and Policy related to the Management of the legal environment of Company’s business.
• To set up systems, processes, procedures in line with the Legal Strategy
• To create a legally compliant work culture/environment throughout the Company.
• To deal with the whole myriad of issues, systems, policies, and procedures related to the legal discipline.
• To be responsible for vetting all legal/commercial documents of the Company.
• To coordinate all matters pertaining to litigation/having legal implications with the Advocates / legal Consultants and be the Organization’s Representative in all the court matters.
• To be responsible for all judicial/quasi-judicial issues and matters involving mediation/arbitration/adjudication.
• To act as an In-house Advisor for all legal matters
