What to do ?

Respected experts, Kindly advise on the following please: An FIR wax filed in Judicial Magistrate court in 2010 against a person. The court forwarded the same to the concerned police station directing them to register a case , investigate and send report to the magistete. The police registered an FIR but didn't do anything for last 5 years and no report was sent. A petition was filed about 2 months back in court praying for the the status of the case. The petition was again forwarded to the Police station asking the status. But the Police didnot bother to respond to court so far. Need to open the case now and for that what steps should be taken in the event of police not sending reoprt to court. Regards.

Why is the police not filing tbh status report of the investigation ? They are bound to do so . Ask the magistrate to take coercive steps to ensure smooth cooperation

Because the person is expert in managing cops being an ex cop. Can the case be opened in the court itself without the Police report or what should be done to proceed with the case.?

U file a petition again in the court for expediating the case as the police are not responding to the court orders.
