What should I do for pending court notice to me for 498a

Hi,

It is around 9 months since my wife filed false 498a against me. I have not received any couort summon yet.

What should I do? Should I pursue this or just keep quite? I mean should I ask police what is status of this?

What will happen to it if it is delayed so much say more than year or so and even charge sheet is not filed?

Police prepared charge sheet but it seems has not sent to court.

Dear Mani123456,

As you have stated that your wife has filed a case against you then in such eventuality the police is supposed to investigate the matter and if prima facie some credible case is made out they will file the charge sheet.  If the police has not filed the chargesheet then the presumably the investigation is not complete/or alternatively no prima facie case has been made out.

Best Regards

Daksh

But they showed me the charge sheet around  6 months back. And told that my parents will

get discharged. Then should I persue it ? Or should I keep quite? What if it keeps on pending for long time?

Police understood that it is a totally false case.

better to go for anticipatory bail.
