Tenancy Right

If a house has been given on rent, is there any time frame of the tenancy rights since my property was given my grandfather to one person, the tenant has been expired and now his son is enjoying the tenancy.  how can i get rid of the tenant in this context.  or the tenancy will be enjoyed by the party heirs ongoing....
