Shop with two owners

Hi

I just bought a shop in my town from a Party. But the Roof of the shop is owned by some third party.

Now after buying it i want to do some renovation work in it or sometimes i think to demolish it completely and construct again. But this third party person is not allowing me to do that.

Although i have confirmed that i will construct it again and roof will be yours, but he is still not agreeing with me .

I wan to know what is his say in this matter as i own the property.

I there any legal way to tackle this situation .

Thanks

The terrace or roof rights mean that the owner of the same alone is entitled to construct a floor on it. You can not do it. It is better to buy those rights from him and then do what ever changes you want to do with the property.
