My wife has taken a housing loan in her name from LIC Housing Finance Limited as a sole applicant. Now I would like to contribute in her repayment of interest and principal payments. What are the procedures I have to do to get tax benefits. Whether executing settlement is correct after becoming a co-applicant to the existing loan? Whether the LICHFL can reject my application for coapplicant for the existing loan and deny NOC for executing settlement deed in my favour?
