Divorce can be a difficult and emotionally challenging process, and it's important to approach it with a clear and level-headed mind. Here are some steps that your friend can take to handle this situation:

  1. Seek Legal Advice: Your friend should consult a qualified lawyer who specializes in divorce proceedings. A lawyer can provide legal guidance and help him understand his rights and obligations under the law.

  2. Respond to the Notice: Your friend should respond to the notice sent by his wife within the specified time frame. He can either agree to the mutual divorce or contest the terms if he disagrees with them. It is important to respond to the notice to avoid any legal complications later on.

  3. Consider Mediation: If both parties are willing to cooperate, they can opt for mediation. Mediation is a process where a neutral third party helps both parties reach an agreement on the terms of the divorce. This can be a cost-effective and efficient way to resolve the matter.

  4. Take Care of Mental Health: Going through a divorce can be emotionally challenging, and it's important to take care of one's mental health during this time. Your friend should consider seeking support from a therapist or counselor who can help him navigate the process.

  5. Stay Positive: It's important to stay positive and focus on the future. Your friend should make a plan for his life after the divorce, including his career, finances, and personal goals.
