Resignation in psu bank under medical grounds

sir/ madam

i am working in psu bank as a probationary officer , i joined in january 2012 , now i am posted in a branch where the manager is insisting to work for more than 12-14 hrs minimum . there is lot of stress , tension. and  unhealthy working enviornment. after a month working there i was hospitalised due to severe head ache (MIGRAINE) . and  i am taking a treatment for that.

now i am on leave for more than a month. I dont want to continue in that organisation. I wanted to put my resignation. in my appointment letter it is mentioned that in case of resignation u need to give three months of notice but it is nowhere mentioned about the notice period salary in lieu.

Now i am not in a position to serve the notice period.  So is there any chance to tender my resignation under medical grounds. As an alternative i am also preparing for other employment exams.

i have the following quiries in this regard

1. whether the employer can  terminate me  for not serving the notice period.? if they terminate how it will be affect my future employment.

2. as i have already submitted my medical certificate for above said sick leave. what is the procedure for my resignation under medical grounds. for not serving the notice period.

3. if i resigned on medical grounds , whether it shows any impact on future employement (govt).

Whatever you do, please submit a formal resignation before they start sending Letters for you to join. If you are not going to join, then i aould advice you to send formal resignation by post or go for one day only to give resignation. Dont forget to take an inward number and receipt of your resignation.

IF you are terminated, then it will definately affect your future.

It is felt that you may submit carefully structured representations in writing under acknowledgment addressed to your appointing authority, and others (as per bank’s system of escalation) covering daily work hours of 12-14 hours minimum, stressful/unhealthy work environment etc. You may mention that CCTC footage of the bank may be referred to and copy be supplied to you. You may obtain the copies of your entry time and exit time from bank. You should be able to produce evidence.

You may mention that it has taken its toll on your health.

You may join duty, and after some days submit notice of resignation, and thereafter submit sick leave application duly supported by medical certificate issued by specialist doctor treating you, as per bank norms.

If there is any service agreement/bond then you should take care of it. Your representations in writing under acknowledgment shall help you to build favorable case.
